Mandatory indoor masking will continue through May 13
Dear Skidmore Community,
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has now classified the COVID-19 Community Level in Saratoga County, NY as “高” and recommends wearing a mask indoors in public and getting tested if you have symptoms.
Additional, detailed guidance can be 在这里找到. In line with CDC guidance, and in an effort to end the semester as safely and successfully
as possible, the College is extending our current indoor masking requirement through
至少 Friday, May 13. At that time, the College will assess CDC guidelines and provide an update.
As a reminder, KN95 masks (or equivalent masks, i.e. N95 or KF94) are required in
all indoor public spaces, subject to previously approved exceptions. Free KN95 masks
continue to be available to all in numerous locations across campus and will be made
easily accessible at all events and gatherings. Indoor gatherings with food and drink
continue to be permitted, but may include additional safety and testing measures as
conveyed by the event organizers, as noted in the April 11 message.
Free rapid tests are always available to students at Campus Safety by calling ahead, or by appointment at Health Services for individuals who are symptomatic. Drop-in PCR testing remains available to all students, faculty, and staff from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays
和8a.m. to noon on Wednesdays in Sussman Village Apartment A1.
As always, thank you for your continued attention to these guidelines and for your
support of one another. To all our students, I wish you a successful conclusion of
classes and best of luck with your upcoming exams.
Sincerely,
Marc Conner
